Launching Thursday 19 June, The Loco Markets bring six weeks of curated charm to South Eveleigh.
Join us every Thursday to Sunday and explore artisan stalls brimming with handcrafted treasures, all set to the backdrop of free live music. Dive into the rich history of South Eveleigh on a Heritage Walking Tour, get hands-on at Eveleigh Works’ blacksmithing workshops, and keep the kids entertained with interactive weekend activities designed just for them.

Mobile Foundry Demonstrations
Thursday, 19 June, 4 - 6pm
Location: Locomotive Street
A compact, working foundry set up in public space. These live sessions reveal the process of heating and forming metal using coal fire, hammers, and hand-built rigs – echoing the industrial rhythm that once defined this precinct.
Coin Press Workshop
Sunday, 22 June, 10 - 11am | 15 minute sessions
Location: Eveleigh Works
Create a personalised brass coin using fire, a mechanical fly press, and your own hands. Each coin takes shape through a short, guided session – a keepsake that feels real, weighty, and connected to the tools and time that made it. Each ticket is $15+BF - Book now.
Open Workshop Weekends
Sunday, 22 June, 10am - 5pm
On select weekends, Eveleigh Works will be open to the public. Come through to explore the space, meet the people keeping these skills alive, and experience the texture and pace of a working forge in the middle of the city.
Heritage Walking Tour
Thursday 19 June: 12 - 1pm
Sunday, 22 June: 10 - 11am or 12 - 1pm
Uncover the legacy of South Eveleigh on a 60-minute guided tour, created in partnership with the Australian Railway Historical Society. Explore South Eveleigh's rich industrial past, discover personal stories of the workers who kept it running, and learn about the remarkable process of turning this 134 year old industrial space into a living museum and vibrant multi-use innovation precinct. Soak up the sounds with free live music from a curated lineup of talented artists, serving up an eclectic mix of genres and melodies along Locomotive Street.
